The exhibition features 31 abstract paintings, each with a unique style, reflecting the inner world of the artist.
Speaking next, Mr. Hagop Havatian, director of the Hamazkayin Lucy Tutunjian Art Gallery, said that Dadérian's creative career has a 50-year-old history. To pay tribute to this legacy, the directing body and committee of the Hamazkayin Lucy Tutunjian Art Gallery proposed to His Holiness Catholicos Aram I of the Holy See of Cilicia to honor Dadérian.
Archbishop Khatcherian also announced that on behalf of Catholicos Aram I he will award Dadérian the St. Mesrob Mashdots Medal, in recognition of his cultural and educational contributions throughout the years.
After receiving the Award, Dadérian delivered a speech. He said that he never wanted to resemble anyone; instead, he has always relied on the judgment of art lovers. He thanked Hamazkayin for its continuous work in the fields of culture and education.
At the end of the ceremony, director Varoujan Khedeshian gave a short speech.
The exhibition runs until 31 March 2012, every day from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
